The Traffiglove System
Our flagship innovation and one that has been imitated by manufacturers around the world, is the invention of the colour coded TraffiGlove traffic light system. This was developed after listening to customers in many industries who were asking for a simple and common sense approach to raising safety awareness. We therefore applied the principle of low, medium and higher to our gloves and arrived at the RED, AMBER, GREEN TraffiGlove system that has improved safety for over 100,000 glove wearers around the world.
In 2012, our first year of specifying TraffiGloves, we saw a 50% reduction in the number of hand cuts reported compared to the previous year.
LOWER CUT PROTECTION
Our RED gloves are ideal for tasks that involve a low cut risk, such as general product handling, warehouse and assembly line work and some low risk construction jobs.
These low level cut resistant gloves provide adequate protection for a wide range of tasks, and the RED colour serves as a warning, reminding the wearer to consider whether further protection is required when switching to a different task. The RED gloves are also a good choice for supplying to visitors who may need to wear gloves on site to comply with safety regulations.
The amber gloves with the long cuffs seem to be the best thing since sliced bread.
MEDIUM CUT PROTECTION
Our AMBER gloves offer a medium level of cut protection, which makes them the ideal choice for second fix construction trades, mechanical and electrical trades, steel fixing and handling materials with sharp edges. The AMBER gloves are finished with a variety of coatings to give you plenty of choice within the range.
The TraffiGlove system was introduced just over a year ago and in that time has helped to reduce recorded hand related injuries by 86%, which is fantastic news.

Higher Cut Protection
Our GREEN gloves provide the higher levels of cut protection, so are the best choice for greater cut risk tasks such as applying cladding, swarf and metal work and handling glass or sheet metal with cut edges. They also provide the higher protection necessary when dealing with unknown risks, for example, in the waste and recycling industries.
