INTRODUCING THE TG700 SERIES

The Traffi journey has taken a step in a different direction! Whilst we have already touched on the food industry with safety glove, this range has an entirely different focus.

Although it is not sector specific for the meat industry, the TG700 series are specifically designed for the handling of food in conditions where there is a high cut risk. For example, in places such as abattoirs where much sharper tools are required, there is a significantly higher cut risk and the use of a liner with the highest cut level according to EN388:2016 is invaluable.

Why do people wear gloves when handling meat?

Wearing safety gloves can effectively keep the food safe. Bare hand contact with raw meat involves a higher risk that bacteria will make its way onto the food in question, and thereby contribute toward the transmission of foodborne illnesses.

Ever had food poisoning? It’s highly unpleasant, and when you’ve had it, you usually never want it again! In some cases, food poisoning can lead to further complications such as meningitis or kidney damage. See more here.

The presence of silver in the yarn makeup can make the gloves more hygienic as it can give the glove added anti-microbial properties. The anti-microbial properties can kill microorganisms and/or prevent their growth. In addition, they can help the glove stay fresher for longer and can make the glove more effective against odours.

      Benefit of batch identification

Are you struggling to keep track of your glove usage? Solving your problems, the TG700 series feature colour coded cuffs for easy batch identification. This is essentially so that when they are washed in batches, everybody is wearing the same batch, and it is clearly visible to a manager if someone is wearing a different coloured cuff to the rest of the operatives. So, everybody will wear the same colour cuff (e.g. green) while the other (e.g. black) is in the wash.
